Deux journalistes du m\u00e9dia ferm\u00e9 Stand News de Hong Kong ont \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnus coupables de conspiration en vue de publier des documents s\u00e9ditieux. Il s’agit de la premi\u00e8re condamnation de ce type depuis le retour de Hong Kong sous contr\u00f4le chinois, \u00e0 l’issue d’un proc\u00e8s qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 suivi de pr\u00e8s et consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un indicateur de la diminution de la libert\u00e9 de la presse dans la ville.<\/p>\n

L’ancien r\u00e9dacteur en chef Chung Pui-kuen et l’ancien r\u00e9dacteur en chef par int\u00e9rim Patrick Lam ont \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9s le 29 d\u00e9cembre 2021 apr\u00e8s une descente de police dans la salle de r\u00e9daction du journal.<\/p>\n

Un jury a condamn\u00e9 Robert Telles, un ancien politicien du Nevada reconnu coupable d’avoir poignard\u00e9 mortellement un journaliste d’investigation de Las Vegas, \u00e0 la prison \u00e0 vie avec possibilit\u00e9 de lib\u00e9ration conditionnelle apr\u00e8s un minimum de 20 ans.<\/p>\n

M. Telles, un ancien administrateur public du comt\u00e9 de Clark \u00e2g\u00e9 de 47 ans, a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnu coupable de la mort, en septembre 2022, de Jeff German, un journaliste de longue date du Las Vegas Review-Journal, dans le cadre d’un proc\u00e8s qui a mis en lumi\u00e8re les pr\u00e9occupations relatives \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de la presse. Le jury a estim\u00e9 que le meurtre \u00e9tait \u00ab volontaire, d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9 et pr\u00e9m\u00e9dit\u00e9 \u00bb et qu’il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 perp\u00e9tr\u00e9 \u00ab \u00e0 l’aff\u00fbt \u00bb.<\/p>\n
