Lemon est un ancien pr\u00e9sentateur de CNN qui anime d\u00e9sormais sa propre \u00e9mission sur YouTube. Ils couvraient une manifestation qui s&rsquo;\u00e9tait d\u00e9roul\u00e9e dans une \u00e9glise de St. Paul, dans le Minnesota, o\u00f9 le pasteur David Easterwood occupe \u00e9galement le poste de directeur r\u00e9gional par int\u00e9rim d&rsquo;un bureau local de l&rsquo;Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La loi f\u00e9d\u00e9rale am\u00e9ricaine consid\u00e8re comme un d\u00e9lit p\u00e9nal le fait d&rsquo;entraver l&rsquo;exercice de la libert\u00e9 religieuse dans un lieu de culte. Fort et Lemon affirment qu&rsquo;ils exer\u00e7aient leur droit constitutionnel de couvrir la manifestation \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de l&rsquo;\u00e9glise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fort et Lemon ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inculp\u00e9s par un grand jury de la cour f\u00e9d\u00e9rale du district du Minnesota, apr\u00e8s qu&rsquo;un juge f\u00e9d\u00e9ral ait refus\u00e9 une pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente tentative de les inculper ainsi que le groupe de militants qui avaient particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la manifestation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les organisations journalistiques \u00e0 travers les \u00c9tats-Unis soulignent que le droit de couvrir les manifestations est prot\u00e9g\u00e9 par le premier amendement de la Constitution am\u00e9ricaine. Elles avertissent que ces arrestations s&rsquo;inscrivent dans le cadre d&rsquo;une strat\u00e9gie plus large de l&rsquo;administration Trump visant \u00e0 cibler les journalistes et \u00e0 \u00e9roder ces droits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seth Stern, responsable du plaidoyer \u00e0 la Freedom of the Press Foundation, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l&rsquo;arrestation des journalistes par le gouvernement constituait une attaque flagrante contre la libert\u00e9 de la presse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab Les m\u00e9dias de toutes tendances politiques doivent d\u00e9fendre haut et fort les droits de Lemon et Fort \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M.
