Feb. 25, 2019. OTTAWA—The Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom and the Carleton School of Journalism and Communication invite journalists, decision-makers and all those who care about civic democracy to our 2019 federal election boot camp.
The day-long workshop in the Richcraft Hall Atrium at Carleton will feature frank talk and timely collaboration.
Begin the day with BuzzFeed editor Craig Silverman and a frontline briefing on the world of fake news and online misinformation.
Get a preview of what’s to come in 2019 from academics, pollsters and close observers of the political and digital landscape.
Hear Fergus Bell of Pop Up News explain how news organizations around the world are collaborating to fight disinformation.
Close the day with CBC’s Rosemary Barton and timely talk about how we can prepare for the coming campaign.
